Can you use a tom-tom batter head on a Snare Drum?
A have a 14 in. Evans G2 batter head from tom pack. It's not specifically a snare batter head, but will it work well on a snare drum?
I can only assume that either the other folks are confused about the question or I am. There is no snare batter head, batter heads are batter heads. The only head made specifically for snare is the bottom head. Any 14" batter head works on a snare. I have used primarily Remo Ambassadors my whole career on toms and snare. There may be 14" batter heads that are marketed as sounding good on a snare but a batter head is a batter head...period.
