If you have a drum set do you need the crash and ride cymbal?
I just got drums on Saturday and my dad got them from a pawn shop but it only had the high hat. I was just wondering if I really need the crash and ride cymbal? Also if you know any good songs to try for beginners. I learned Animal I have Become but I don't remember the tabs. Thanks to all who answer! =]
You can get a Crash/Ride or a Jazz Ride; they're kind of in-between cymbals that can be crashed or rode and do the job of both a crash and a ride in one cymbal. As for music to learn, get a drum book that will give you a good foundation. If you want to become a good drummer, you need to learn the basics and have something to build upon.
