Drum Set cymbals question!!!! 5* best answer!?
i have a question about drum Set Cymbals.
what kind of cymbal would a Boom Stand be normally used for? Is it ok to have only regular Cymbal Stands?
My kit will start off with a 14in hihat and 20in crash (zildjian Pitch Black).
Should I add a 16in or 18in crash next?
My music is more grunge/hardcore punk

Boom stands just give you more options for placement of your cymbals. They come in handy when you want to put several in a tight or closer space. Regular cymbal stands are fine. Only go with the extra cost if you really need them for some reason. I would go with the 18 first but it is nice to listen to the cymbal with your others and see how it sounds. You probably want the volume and sustain of the larger cymbal.
